Winter clothing sets will be distributed to low-income families of Abkhazia as part of the "Soul Warmth" charity event. The action starts in mid-January 2019. It was organized by the World Abaza Congress, the Federation of Abkhaz Cultural Centers of Turkey (Abkhazfed) and the ANO "Alashara".

New winter clothes - shoes, jackets, sweaters, tights, blankets - will be distributed to families in particular need. The lists of such families were compiled by the WAC in cooperation with the Ministry for the Repatriation of the Republic of Abkhazia, the district departments of the Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Security of Abkhazia, the Public Association "Kiaraz", the ANO "Alashara" in the KChR, the Red Cross, religious organizations.

Commenting on the action and participation of the Federation of Abkhaz Cultural Centers of Turkey in it, the head of the Abkhazfed commission for returning to historic homeland Erdjan Bychkuria expressed confidence that representatives of the Abaza people should always "extend a helping hand to their historic homeland".

"We decided to start with children, understanding the need to strengthen the cohesion of young people: so that they would not forget about each other - both in the historic homeland and in the Diaspora. It doesn’t matter where we are in the world - the main thing is for us to turn our faces and our love to Abkhazia," said Bychkuria.

The first batch of humanitarian aid, staffed by members of the Supreme Council of the WAC and representatives of the Abkhazfed, has already been delivered to Sukhum. The arrival of the second batch is expected.

The organizers of the action also note a significant contribution of Sukhum entrepreneur Denis Otyrba to the action, who donated a large number of children's toys to WAC for distribution to families.

Representatives of the Abkhaz-Abaza Diaspora in Turkey in September of this year, at the initiative of the WAC Supreme Council member Akhmet Hapat, collected and transferred 1,200 sets of warm clothes to the needy families of Abkhazia, including 400 children’s, 250 men’s, 550 women's sets.

Congressional staff brought dozens of sets of winter clothes to the organization «Association of Disabled of the Patriotic War of the People of Abkhazia» of Sukhum and Sukhum district, «Association of Disabled Women - Participants of the Patriotic War of the People of Abkhazia1992-1993», «Kiaraz», as well as the Ministry of Repatriation of the RA.

Part of the winter clothing sets - humanitarian aid to those in need from the Abkhaz-Abaza Diaspora from Turkey - were transferred on October 18 to the disabled people of the PWPA who stay in the Republican Rehabilitation Center (RRC) in the town of Gagra.
