Over the past week, 541 cases of coronavirus infection were detected in Abkhazia. 1535 people passed the COVID-19 test. This was announced by the Operational Headquarters for the Protection of the Population from Coronavirus Infection.

According to the Operational Headquarters, at the moment, there are 163 patients in the Gudauta Central District Hospital, of which 158 people with confirmed coronavirus infection, five with direct suspicion of coronavirus infection.

There are 21 people in serious condition, 29 patients of moderate severity. 78 people were discharged in a week.

“The total number of detected cases of coronavirus in Abkhazia today is 2257 people. Of these, 829 recovered and 21 patients died,” Operational HQ reports.

The Operational Headquarters for the Protection of the Population from Coronavirus Infection calls on the citizens of Abkhazia to observe all necessary precautions to avoid infection.

In the near future, citizens will be able to call a single hotline number 0303 in Sukhum, the issue of connecting a single number throughout the Republic is being worked out.
