Chairman of the Supreme Council of the World Abaza Congress Mussa Ekzekov congratulated the Russians on the Day of National Unity. He also sent congratulatory letters to the head of the KChR Rashid Temrezov, the head of Adygea Murat Kumpilov and the acting head of the KBR Kazbek Kokov.

«This national holiday has deep spiritual and historical roots. It is celebrated in memory of the fateful historical events of 1612, when the cohesion and patriotism of the peoples of Russia helped to defend the independence of the Fatherland and strengthen Russian statehood,» the congratulatory text says.

Ekzekov believes that today, the future of Russia, the success of modernizing the country and the well-being of society as a whole depend on the unity and civil solidarity of Russians.

He added that unity is an indispensable condition for the preservation and development of any nation, and it is in unity that the strength of the multinational Russian people.

National Unity Day is celebrated in Russia annually on November 4, starting in 2005. This national holiday was established in memory of an important historical event in the history of Russia - the liberation of Moscow from the Polish invaders in 1612, and is timed to coincide with the holiday in honor of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God.
