To organize another exhibition in November 2018 dedicated to the history and culture of Abaza and Abkhaz, Mussa Ekzekov ensured the arrival in St. Petersburg of more than a hundred unique exhibits - national costumes and archaeological artifacts.

The director of the museum, Vladimir Grusman, commenting on the Ekzekov award, noted that the philanthropist “pays great attention to fostering respect for the history and culture of small nations.”

“I do not know other people who, with such a social status and level of security, would seek to invest personal resources in preserving the material and cultural values of their people.  We are grateful to him for his support in creating the expositions of the Russian Ethnographic Museum,” the director of the institution said.

Mussa Ekzekov himself, commenting on the event, expressed satisfaction with the fact that “it was the ethnographic museum that became one of the centers of the cultural forum.”

“The key topic of the forum“ cultural codes in the era of globalization” is consonant with our joint work with the museum and the activities of the “Alashara” association, which I lead.  I consider it extremely important in modern conditions to preserve the traditions of all the peoples of the Russian Federation.  The unique multinational Russian culture is formed from their heritage,” the award winner said.

In turn, he thanked the museum for their joint work.

“I am sure that new and important cultural projects for the country are waiting for us,” concluded Ekzekov.
