The first donations to the current account of the World Abaza Congress in the amount of 18 thousand rubles came from the first members of the Congress, said Assistant to the Chairman of the Supreme Council of the WAC, Kan Tania.

He explained that the Congress is carrying out activities aimed at facilitating the unification of efforts of the Abkhaz-Abaza people to preserve the ethnos, the language, its culture and traditions, as well as the promotion of social activity.

«Who, if not members of the Congress, should demonstrate by their example commitment to these words? I believe that with financial support, projects and ideas of the Congress can get a completely different, better quality and wide scale, which will benefit all representatives of the Abkhaz-Abaza people,» added Kan Tania.

One of the first donors was the chairman of the regional branch of the WAC in St. Petersburg, Temur Rekvava. He noted that monetary contributions are an important aspect of achieving the goals of the Congress.

«It is important that we all support the activities of the Congress, since it faces many tasks aimed at uniting and improving the lives of the representatives of the Abkhaz-Abaza people. And, if each of us contributes, the goals and tasks of the WAC will be achieved many times faster,» Rekvava believes.

He also noted that donations can be of any amount, according to the capabilities of everyone, and that the main thing is the contribution itself and the involvement of members of the Congress in the common cause.

The first donations were made by Temur Rekvava, Kan Tania, Mikhail Kalinkin, Levan Torchua, Alyas Ayba, Geta Ardzinba, Inar Gitsba, Alkhas Berulava, Angela Pataraya and others.

The World Abaza Congress is a public association based on membership and for realization of its goals financial support is also necessary. Members of the WAC and anyone interested person can donate to the cash department of the organization or transfer money to the settlement account of the Congress in “Sukhum Bank”.
