On the eve of International Children's Day, the World Abaza Congress together with the NGO "Public Center for Social Initiatives" from the city of Kamensk-Shakhtinsk, Rostov Region, organized entertainment events for the wards of rehabilitation centers.

A musical show with participation of animators, cotton candy and a present for each child - this is how the wards of the rehabilitation centers of the village of Tsandrypsh and the town of Sukhum celebrated the holiday.

Traditionally, WAC takes an active part in organizing various events dedicated to the main children's holiday. 2025 was no exception. The event for Children's Day lasted two days. On the first day, the organizers went to Tsandrypsh, where they visited the wards of the rehabilitation center "We are together".

Specialist of the OSAZ department of the WAC Naur Khishba told about the preparations for the event.

“The Congress team has been holding events dedicated to International Children's Day for several years now. This year, we have been actively cooperating with the NGO “Public Center for Social Initiatives”, which, at the initiative of our colleague Izolda Khagba, helped finance events in the rehabilitation centers of the village of Tsandrypsh and the town of Sukhum. Our colleagues supported us and, thanks to the financial support of the Presidential Grants Fund of the Russian Federation, we managed to hold children's parties in two rehabilitation centers,” he noted.

On the second day, the team went to the Republican Rehabilitation Center for Children with Disabilities. An exciting musical program and many sweet gifts awaited the children there.

The head of the autonomous NGO “Public Center for Social Initiatives” Svetlana Moiseeva emphasized the importance of holding such events.

"For our part, this is support for the initiative of our partner, the public organization of the World Abaza Congress. We are especially happy to provide moments of happiness to the wards of rehabilitation centers. Such events should be organized more often than once a year. Since these children need special care, attention, support not only from peers and parents, but from society as a whole," Moiseeva noted.

Children enjoyed the spectacular show with their parents and teachers. Having transformed into fairy-tale characters, the animators captured children's attention from the first minutes with their artistry, bright outfits and unusual attributes. The children, to the best of their ability, took part in various interesting competitions.

The head of the republican rehabilitation center Marina Danelyan thanked everyone involved in organizing the holiday.

"I would like to express my profound gratitude on behalf of all the staff of the center, the wards and their parents to the organizers of the event. It was very fun, joyful, everyone had a great time. Such unifying events are very important for our children, for their development and socialization,” she said.

International Children's Day is celebrated annually worldwide on June 1. The holiday is aimed at reminding society of the need to protect every child, to give children the opportunity to grow up happy, healthy, polite and responsible people.
