The project is aimed at studying and popularizing the historical and cultural heritage of Abkhazia. Its main goals are to foster patriotism in the younger generation, increase interest in the history of their people, and involve children in studying historical and cultural sites. As part of the project, students from rural schools in Abkhazia are given the opportunity to visit municipal museums.

According to the project manager, a specialist of the WAC department for work with local representative offices Kherson, Simoniia, the project is still a pilot one, but it has every chance of being continued.

"With the support of the Chairman of the WAC Supreme Council, Mussa Ekzekov, today we launched a new project. The Congress team, headed by Mussa Khabalevich, pays special attention to projects aimed at the cultural and patriotic education of Abkhazian youth. This is still a trial version, but I am sure that the project will be successfully implemented in the future," Simoniia said.

The first trip was organized for schoolchildren from the villages of Okum and Arasadzykh. 45 students and their teachers visited the State Museum of the Patriotic War of 1992-1993 named after Sergey Dbar in Gudauta and the Apsny Ethnopark in the village of Mgudzyrkhua.

Guests conducted a detailed tour through the halls of the Gudauta museum. With bated breath, children listened to the story of the museum director Gugutsa Dzhikirba about the war and the heroic deeds of the defenders of Abkhazia, who did invaluable things for the current generation.

In the ethnopark, the schoolchildren immersed themselves in the atmosphere of the traditions of our ancestors and learned about the significance of each unique element of the national culture.

"We are told about the life and everyday life of our ancestors during lessons. We saw it all with our own eyes in the ethnopark. After such excursions, you want to learn more and more about our history," shared one of the students, Miranda Amichba.

As part of the "Secrets of History" project, another trip is planned for 2025, the destination of which will be the Abkhazian State Museum in Sukhum.
