20 students from the Ochamchira Boarding School took part in a tour of Sukhum.

The Department of the World Abaza Congress for work with local branches continued the "Aimadara" project in 2025. As part of the first trip, a cultural program was organized for students of the Ochamchira Boarding School in Sukhum. The children visited the "Rama" ceramics studio and the Abkhazian State Museum.

In the ceramics studio, the schoolchildren tried their hand at working with a unique natural material - clay. Under the guidance of the masters, they molded mugs, plates, various figures and painted unique patterns on them. Children will give the products they created with their own hands to their mothers.

"I have never sculpted from clay before. I learned so much new in this master class. I am sure that the other children are also delighted. Each of us created one product. I will give my mother a gift for March 8, I think she will really like it," said student Diana Tarba.

After the master class, the children went to the museum, where they had a fascinating tour of the halls dedicated to the nature, geography and history of Abkhazia from ancient times to the present day.

The specialist of the WAC department for work with local branches Kherson Simoniia noted the successful launch of the project in the new year.

"The project is aimed at conducting children's educational leisure for children from the villages of the republic - these are excursions to sights, museums and other famous locations in Abkhazia. We held the first trip this year for students of the Ochamchira Boarding School. At the request of the school board, a visit to the ceramics studio and the museum was organized for them. The children enjoyed the day - they learned a lot of new things, received a lot of positive emotions and, of course, are looking forward to their clay products. This result is the main goal of the project," said Simoniia.

The "Aimadara" project has been implemented by the WAC team since 2019 and is educational and entertaining. The geography of the project is diverse. Participants visit such attractions as the Novy Afon and Otap caves, the "Apsny" ethnopark, the Akarmara waterfalls, the "Lions Park", the dolphinarium, temples and museums. The organizers plan to continue educational trips for children from the villages of the republic.
