Santa Claus, Snow Maiden, cartoon characters, rhymes, presents - all this was at the opening of a playground on Adygeyskaya Street in Sukhum.

A resident of this area, the coordinator of the local branches of the WAC Dmitry Zhiba, personally supervised the process of installing the site.

"The neighbors addressed me with a request that the World Abaza Congress took part in the planning and construction of a playground. On behalf of the Chairman of the WAC SC Mussa Ekzekov, we organized the purchase and delivered the playground to the site," said Dmitry Zhiba at the opening.

The residents of nearby houses actively helped the Congress in setting up the site.

Mother of many children Flora Kharazia shared her delight and gratitude. According to the resident, they will continue landscaping.

"We hope this is the beginning of our journey to improve the area where our children can play and spend time. We live here and will continue to improve the territory for our children given our potential," added Kharazia.

Many large families live in multi-story buildings on Adygeyskaya Street, one of which is the family of Saida Madinyan. Saida has lived all her life in one of the multi-story buildings, and she noted that "this is the first time they have such a site."

"We are very happy, thank you very much! If there are more similar projects, we will be happy to participate and help in their implementation," Madinyan added.

The new playground brought together both the young people and the adults on this street. At the end of the holiday, children were given treats. Children rejoiced at both the playground and the sweet gifts, vying with each other to share their impressions.

In the work of the World Abaza Congress, traditionally, much attention is devoted to charity. In 2021, the WAC employees organized the delivery of food aid to the covid department of the Gagra regional hospital, and food products were also sent to the Gudauta covid hospital. On the eve of the liberation of the Gagra district during the 1992-1993 Patriotic War of the people of Abkhazia, the Congress provided assistance to the veterans of the Republican Association of War Disabled People "Apsny" in the town of Gagra.
