The team of the World Abaza Congress takes a partner part in organizing and holding the first football championship among schoolchildren in the villages of the district and the town of Ochamchira.

The grand opening of the football championship among rural schools in the Ochamchira district took place on June 16.

The initiator of this event is the youth and sports department of the Ochamchira district administration. Competitions between 15 rural teams will last six months and will be held at mini-football pitches in the villages of Adzyubzha, Tamysh, Kutol, Markula, Gup and in the town of Ochamchira. Players born in 2013-2014 participate in the tournament.

According to the agreement, the WAC covers part of the fuel costs for the delivery of young football players to the venue of the matches. In addition, the Congress will provide information support for the Games.

Speaking at the opening of the championship, the head of the Sukhum office of the WAC, Temur Rekvava, thanked the organizers, participants of the tournament and noted the significance of the event for the entire region.

The Congress pays special attention to projects aimed at developing a healthy lifestyle for children. Undoubtedly, this kind of championships instill love for sports and improve health. It's nice to see so many teams from rural schools. We are glad to be a part of this celebration and we are sure that projects of this kind are a great contribution to the future," he said.

Football championship initiated by the Youth and Sports Department of the Ochamchira District Administration. It united athletes of different ages in recent years. This year only players born in 2013-2014 are allowed to participate in the tournament. The results of the tournament will be summed up in six months.
