The World Abaza Congress in cooperation with the Union of Creative Youth of Apsny organized a round table on the "Preservation of linguistic heritage: challenges and solutions". The meeting was held on the territory of the Grand Canyon development complex.
The meeting was moderated by the chief of the WAC staff, member of the Council of Young Scientists under the President of the Republic of Abkhazia Abzagu Tsvizhba. Representatives of the Abkhaz-Abaza Diaspora, including scientists, students and activists, took part in the discussion.
The participants of the round table unanimously noted that the preservation of languages is one of the priority tasks for the state. During the discussion, important issues were raised regarding the role of language in culture and identity, as well as the problems of its study and preservation. Particular attention was paid to the state and development of endangered languages, which confirmed the need to implement effective strategies and support programs.
During the discussion, the participants proposed an initiative to create a language club. This club will allow everyone to share experiences and practice their native language. It will become a platform for exchanging knowledge and cultural traditions, which in turn will help strengthen linguistic heritage and support cultural identity.
The participants in the discussion expressed hope for further discussion of the topic of preserving and promoting the language.
