WAC and ANO "Public Center for Social Initiatives" continue to implement the "Social Design" program.
The World Abaza Congress together with the ANO "Public Center for Social Initiatives" from the city of Kamensk-Shakhtinsk in the Rostov Region continue to implement a program to conduct trainings teaching schoolchildren of Abkhazia the basics of social design.
The first trip in the new academic year was to the village of Shashikuara in the Gal Region. The training was held in the school premises, previously renovated and equipped as part of the project of WAC and ANO "Public Center for Social Initiatives".
Traditionally, the intensive course lasted two days: on the first day, students mastered the theoretical part and learned design skills, on the second - a practical day, teams set goals and objectives, made estimates and developed a detailed plan for the implementation of their projects.
The participants were divided into two teams, each of which described their ideas in project form. Having studied the teams’ proposals and the schoolchildren’s needs, a special commission supported the funding of a school recovery project, which will include work to improve the school’s water supply.
