Ekaterina Bebiia and the delegation of the ANO “Alashara” attended the evening in memory of Givi Vanacha in Gudauta.
An evening in memory of the composer Givi Vanacha was held at the House of Culture of Gudauta. The event was organized by the journalist, Chairman of the Coordination Council of Women of Abkhazia under the WAC Ekaterina Bebiia and the head of the Gudauta State Museum of PWPA Gugutsa Dzhikirba. The memorial evening brought together the composer’s relatives, friends and colleagues, as well as residents and district leaders.
The event was attended by guests from the Karachay-Cherkess Republic: Chairman of the Coordination Women's Council at "Alashara" Irina Khutova, Head of the "Culture" department Natella Dzhemakulova, Chairman of the Women's Council of the Abaza Municipal District Zurida Ashibokova, Chairman of the Women's Council of the Elburgan Village at "Alashara" Aminat Abazova, specialist of the "Family and children" department Inna Lagucheva, head of the "Health and Demography" department Artur Khutov.
The participants of the evening shared warm memories of the composer and stories about his life and career.
The vocal and instrumental ensemble “Ritsa,” whose leader was Givi Vanacha for many years, performed several compositions from their own repertoire, including the popular song “Ritsa.”
The audience was shown archival footage of Ekaterina Bebiia, in which the composer, together with his young daughter Anisa, performs the original song “Aminat”.
Givi Vanacha is a poet and composer. He is the author of more than 30 songs, among which the most popular were “Ritsa”, “Song of Wounding”, a cycle of songs about Abkhazian warriors and others.
