Over the past week, 643 cases of coronavirus infection were detected in Abkhazia. 2726 people passed the COVID-19 test. This was announced by the Operational Headquarters for the Protection of the Population from Coronavirus Infection.

According to the Operational Headquarters, at the moment, there are 102 patients in the Gudauta Central District Hospital, of which 92 people with confirmed coronavirus infection.
There are 42 people in serious condition, 32 patients of moderate severity. 35 people were discharged in a week.

The Operational HQ reports that 61 patients with a confirmed diagnosis of a new coronavirus infection are in the mobile multidisciplinary hospital deployed on the territory of the “Aytar” boarding house in Sukhum. The condition of 56 patients is of moderate severity, five people are in serious condition.

“The total number of detected cases of coronavirus in Abkhazia today is 7779 people. Of these, 5832 recovered and 101 patients died,” Operational HQ reports.

The Operational Headquarters for the Protection of the Population from Coronavirus Infection calls on the citizens of Abkhazia to observe all necessary precautions to avoid infection.
