Over the past week, 55 cases of coronavirus infection were detected in Abkhazia.  655 people passed the COVID-19 test.  This was announced by the Operational Headquarters for the protection of the population from coronavirus infection.

According to the Operational Headquarters, at the moment, there are 21 patients with confirmed coronavirus infection in the Gudauta Central District Hospital, of which three are moderately severe, one is severe.  Three were discharged in a week.  One patient, a citizen of Abkhazia, was transferred for treatment outside the Republic of Abkhazia.

“The total number of people diagnosed with coronavirus in Abkhazia today is 189 people.  69 of them recovered and three patients died, ” Operational HQ  reports.

The Operational Headquarters for the protection of the population from coronavirus infection also said that hotline numbers operate in Abkhazia, where you can get the necessary information about COVID-19 and consult a specialist.

In the near future, citizens will be able to call a single hotline number 0303 in Sukhum, the issue of connecting a single number throughout the Republic is being worked out.
