Over the past week, 418 cases of coronavirus infection were detected in Abkhazia. 2229 people passed the COVID-19 test. This was announced by the Operational Headquarters for the Protection of the Population from Coronavirus Infection.

According to the Operational Headquarters, at the moment, there are 127 patients in the Gudauta Central District Hospital, of which 107 people with confirmed coronavirus infection, 20 with direct suspicion of coronavirus infection.

There are 32 people in serious condition, 27 patients of moderate severity. 53 people were discharged in a week.

The Operational HQ reports that 46 patients with a confirmed diagnosis of a new coronavirus infection are in the mobile multidisciplinary hospital deployed on the territory of the “Aytar” boarding house in Sukhum. The condition of 43 patients is of moderate severity, three people are in serious condition.

“The total number of detected cases of coronavirus in Abkhazia today is 4720 people. Of these, 2831 recovered and 51 patients died,” Operational HQ reports.

The Operational Headquarters for the Protection of the Population from Coronavirus Infection calls on the citizens of Abkhazia to observe all necessary precautions to avoid infection.

Citizens will be able to call a single hotline number 0303 in Sukhum in the near future, the issue of connecting a single number throughout the Republic is being worked out.
