Meeting of M.K. Ekzekov with Erdogan's Advisor S. Sertçelik.
On November 5, in Ankara, in the building of the administration of the President of Turkey R. Erdogan, a meeting was held between the President of the Friendship Society with Turkey M.K. Ekzekov and Advisor to the President of Turkey Seyit Sertçelik.
M.K. Ekzekov spoke about plans to create a platform for cultural, sports and social exchange, which could become the basis for closer cooperation between the youth of the two countries. It was noted that the presentation of these ideas for adjustment and consideration of the interests of the Turkish side will be an important step towards mutual dialogue.
"We are ready and want to cooperate, because the more interaction, the stronger will be the friendship between our countries" emphasized M.K. Ekzekov.
Advisor to the President of Turkey Seyit Sertçelik thanked for the visit and noted that, despite many years of cooperation between Russia and Turkey, the created platforms did not have constant activity and did not always function in a single system. He also expressed readiness for a return visit to Russia to further discuss the possibilities of bilateral cooperation. He recalled that recently at a meeting with Turkish President R. Erdogan he proposed an initiative to create a Russian-Turkish university in Antalya or Istanbul, but the project was not continued.
During the discussions, the topics of organizing cultural and sports events, as well as the possibility of joint publishing projects were raised. It was proposed to publish a book dedicated to Russian-Turkish relations, which could contribute to further strengthening of bilateral ties.
"Publishing books can also play an important role in establishing relations" - S. Sertçelik emphasized.
The parties expressed confidence that the continuation of the work of the Friendship Society with Turkey will be an important step towards expanding cooperation between the countries, emphasizing the importance of public diplomacy in strengthening cultural ties between Russia and Turkey.
The meeting was held in a warm and friendly atmosphere. Advisors to the President of the Friendship Society with Turkey Kan Taniia and Ahmet Hapat also participated in it.
