WAC conducted a medical examination in the villages of Mgudzyrkhua and Zvandrypsch
The next medical examination, uniting schoolchildren and teachers of the villages of Mgudzyrkhua and Zvandrypsch, took place on October 20 at the school of the Mgudzyrkhua village. More than a hundred students and teachers were examined by wide-ranging specialists: an ENT doctor, an ophthalmologist, a urologist, pediatricians, an endocrinologist, a neurologist, a rehabilitation specialist, and a cardiologist. The general health of children is assessed positively. However, it should be noted that diseases have been identified that require immediate assistance from a specialist. In particular, worsening of kidney disease. Students with identified problems were sent for further examination.
The WAC continues to conduct medical examinations in rural schools. The next trip is scheduled for November.
Inva-tour in Novy Afon: the first inclusive youth organization and the WAC fulfilled Anrik Tskua’s dream.
In June 2022, Anrik Tskua took part in the All-Russian inclusive youth educational forum “Without Borders”, held in the city of Vladikavkaz. The young man presented his “Inva-tour” project at the forum, as part of which he planned to conduct excursions throughout Abkhazia for people with disabilities. Anrik's project took third place. Rada Khalvash, a representative of the First Inclusive Youth Organization (FIYO) and the WAC, helped organize the excursion in Abkhazia, as well as volunteers who accompanied children with disabilities during the entire trip. Anrik Tskua and Yana Pilia were the tour guides. The excursion participants visited the Novy Afon Monastery, the waterfall, the Psyrtskha railway station, the park with swans and got a lot of new impressions. At the end of the evening, the WAC prepared refreshments for the tour participants.
