WAC team took part in the "Support for public initiatives in the Republic of Abkhazia" seminar

 The team of the World Abaza Congress took part in the "Support for public initiatives in the Republic of Abkhazia" seminar with the support of the Presidential Grants Fund of the Russian Federation.

The seminar was held at the "GUMA" cultural and business platform. It was conducted by the director of the Arkhangelsk Center for Social Technologies "Garant" Marina Mikhailova. The event brought together representatives of civil society, state agencies and social design experts.

The moderator of the meeting told the participants about the conditions for accepting applications for funding by the Presidential Grants Fund of the Russian Federation. Non-profit organizations registered in Abkhazia (except for political associations) can submit applications from August 7 to September 30

Round table was held in the WAC office

As part of the "Growth Point of NCOs: Abkhazia" project supported by the Presidential Grants Fund, the Autonomous Non-Commercial Organization "Public Center for Social Initiatives" together with the Public Organization "World Abaza Congress" held a round table "On Supporting Non-Commercial Organizations and Youth Initiatives". 

During the round table the following items were discussed: 
•⁠ ⁠On competitions aimed at developing and supporting civil initiatives (Presidential Grants Fund, "Rosmolodezh" etc.) 
•⁠ ⁠How to prepare and submit an application for participation in grant competitions 
•⁠ ⁠On how the application review is carried out. 

The round table assumed free communication and active participation of all parties. The key focus was on discussing real practical cases and developing common approaches.

WAC team laid flowers at the monument to Taras Shamba

The Congress team took part in the flowers laying ceremony at the monument to the public and political figure, honorary president of the WAC Taras Shamba. Taras Shamba headed the World Congress of the Abkhaz-Abaza People for more than 25 years and played a key role in uniting representatives of the Diaspora around the world. Today he would have turned 87.

30 films of the "Historical Heritage for the Future" project

We present to your attention thirty documentaries within the framework of the "Аҭоурыхтә ҭынха аԥеиԥшазы" ("Historical Heritage for the Future") project. The project of the WAC and Dzhambul Indzhgiia was implemented in 2024 - the films were shown monthly on Abkhazian State Television and the official pages of the Congress.
