Ecological lecture held in the village of Lykhny
The OSAZ department together with the senior lecturer, methodologist of the Department of Ecology and Animal Morphology at ASU Maya Tsybulevskaya continues trainings on ecology for schoolchildren. Another interactive lecture was held in the secondary school of the village of Lykhny.
The children discussed environmental issues worldwide and in Abkhazia, expanded their knowledge of nature, in particular, talked about the importance of caring for it and environmentally friendly behavior in everyday life.
"Aimadara" - 2024
The season of "Aimadara" - 2024 ended with a trip to Tkuarchal. The final trip was organized for students of Primorskaya Secondary School. 30 students and their teachers visited the tourist attractions of the town of Tkuarchal, including the beloved waterfalls.
The excursion route began with the laying of flowers at the memorial to those perished during the Patriotic War of the People of Abkhazia in 1992-1993. The children were told about the history of the mining village of Akarmara, the successfully developing industry in the region and the blockade during the war. Many participants in the route visited eastern Abkhazia for the first time and were impressed by the architecture and atmosphere of the town.
The participants of the trip thanked the WAC department for work with local representatives for the organization and attention given to the children.
The “Aimadara” project is aimed at providing children with useful leisure time and visiting iconic cultural and historical sites of Abkhazia.
Let's Preserve the Nature: WAC conducted environmental training

The conversation included various environmental problems of the urban and rural environment of Abkhazia.
Using Abkhazia as an example, Maya Tsybulevskaya spoke about the problems of waste disposal, the destruction of green areas, the use of pesticides and chemical fertilizers.

WAC conducted medical examination in the Myku village
The World Abaza Congress conducted a medical examination of students from two schools in the village of Myku. The schoolchildren were examined by pediatricians Azamat Khibba and Knarik Meletyan, neurologist Saida Kondzhariya, rehabilitation specialist Arzadin Agrba, endocrinologists Radmila Guniia and Khamida Dzhikirba, Yuri Zarandia, ophthalmologist Fatima Sanguliia, otolaryngologist Ritsa Khalbad and cardiologists Irina Bondareva and Oksana Lakerbaya together with ECG nurse Evelina Narmaniia. About 130 students from both schools had the opportunity to undergo a comprehensive medical examination.
Traditionally, volunteers take part in the project. This time, doctors were assisted by Aiba Oksana, Alexandra Bargandzhiia, Sariya Gergaya, Maria Gerken, Sabina Dudukchyan, Samira, Dudukchyan, Ksenia Klipina, Alexander Khadzhimba and Ainar Khashig.
The medical examination project is being implemented by the World Abaza Congress together with the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Abkhazia. It is aimed at providing qualified medical care to students of rural schools who live far from urban medical centers.
WAC held a lecture within the "Ирӡтәым" project
The joint project of the World Abaza Congress and Inna Dzhugeliia "Ирӡтәым" continues its work. This time it was held in the format of an excursion. Students of Chlou Secondary School visited two Sukhum museums - the Omar Beyguaa museum and the Bank of Abkhazia museum.
The director of the house-museum Dmitry Gabeliia told in detail about Beyguaa as a historian and Caucasus expert, linguist, publicist, poet and one of the most prominent representatives of the Abkhazian Diaspora in Turkey. The schoolchildren learned a lot about other outstanding representatives of the Abkhazian Diaspora: scholars, politicians, artists, writers, athletes.
Then the young guests of the capital visited the Bank of Abkhazia museum, where in addition to a fascinating story about the history of monetary units, everyone could mint coins on a special machine. After the tour the participants went home filled with new knowledge, positive impressions and vivid emotions.
Union of Creative Youth of Apsny opens its doors in St. Petersburg
We are pleased to announce that the folklore group of the Union of Creative Youth of Apsny is now operating in St. Petersburg with the support of the World Abaza Congress. This initiative provides a wonderful opportunity for students and anyone wishing to immerse themselves in the world of folk art and culture.
Classes are held under the mentorship of the head of the WAC Office Abzagu Tsvizhba, who shares his experience and knowledge in the field of folk art.
The group members learn folk singing, study folklore and master musical instruments. Folk art not only develops musical skills, but also deepens the understanding of the culture and traditions of Apsny.
Classes are held every Saturday from 16:00 to 18:00 in the Grand Canyon Shopping Mall.
