The World Abaza Congress conducted a medical examination in the village of Akuaskya, Ochamchira region. Traditionally, clinical examination consisted of two stages: on the first day, children and teachers had their blood tested for general analysis and glucose levels, and on the second day, with the results already available, they were examined by a visiting team of doctors.
In total, more than 100 students and school employees were examined. Children and adults with identified disorders were referred for further examination.

Medical examination of students in rural schools in Abkhazia is a project of the World Abaza Congress, conducted with the support of the Ministry of Health of the Republic.
