Young football players from Abkhazia visited the Grand Canyon development area
Pupils of the FC “Zenit” branch in Abkhazia visited the Grand Canyon development area in St. Petersburg. The Grand Canyon team warmly welcomed the young football players and prepared an interesting program for them. The guys visited one of the largest rope parks in St. Petersburg, “High-Rise City,” as well as the “Museum of Miracles” and “Bestiary.”
From March 8 to March 11, a tournament of branches of FC “Zenit” was held in St. Petersburg, in which football players born in 2015 from Abkhazia took part. The guys played 7 games, of which they won 3. All athletes showed diligence and gained great experience. There is a lot of work ahead to improve mistakes and achieve new victories.
In 2021, a branch of the “Zenit” Football Club Academy, a St. Petersburg Olympic reserve children's and youth school, was opened in Abkhazia. The World Abaza Congress and personally the Chairman of the Supreme Council of the WAC Mussa Ekzekov assisted in establishing communication between the management of “Zenit” and the leadership of Abkhazia to open a branch of the school in the republic.
